When to Go : Aug to March and especially Sep to Feb are the best time to travel in South India as the weathers are generally warm and comfortable. As a result, these are the peak seasons for tourists and could be very busy in most of the attractions. During March to June most parts of South India become quite hot. June to Aug is the monsoon time.
Set Tour or Tailor-Made : With our first-hand and in-depth knowledge about South India and the adjacent regions, we had designed the tours which we believe embody the essence of the cultural, historical and geographical aspects of the regions. They offer truly exciting and memorable experience as well as best value for money. However you could also shorten or add extra time spent in any locations in the itinerary or even make up your own itinerary
The Tour Guides : We have professional guides with good English/French/german language skills and local knowledge. They are eager and responsible in the jobs, friendly and helpful in their nature. We will also provide language speaking escorts on request.
Flights : For the domestic flights specified in the itinerary, we use Jet Airways, Indian Airlines, Kingfisher, Sahara, Paramount etc, which have modern fleet of Boeings and airbuses with a very good safety record.
Luggage Limitations : 20kg maximum for domestic flights. Clients are solely responsible for excess luggage. Security rules relating to the luggage and hand-carrying bags are to be observed in accordance with the airport and airlines regulations.
Train Services : Train services in India are convenient and comfortable. Overnight trains have soft-berth and equipped with air-conditioning. There are adequate wash basins and toilet facilities in the carriage. The train normally has a separate carriage as canteen which serves drinks and freshly cooked food.
Cars : All the vehicles we use are well maintained with air-conditioning. The drivers are well-trained and experienced with extensive local knowledge.
House Boat Cruises : The House boats are simply, but comfortably, furnished and consist of a thatch-covered lounge/dining area; one or two bedrooms with air-conditioning, mosquito nets and attached bathrooms with a WC, wash basin and a hand held shower. In the evening the boat is lit by solar powered lights and hurricane lamps. Thatched awnings on both sides of the boat allow the breeze and views to flow in. Meals are cooked on board. The boat is fully staffed with a captain and a cook. Remainder of day cruising the backwaters.
Hotel Accommodations : We have all category hotels/resorts at all the tourist interested places. To ensure high standard facilities and services, we suggest 3-stars and above except in a few small provincial towns where we use the best hotels available.
Meals : We normally provide accommodation with breakfast and all meals on House Boat. Upon request, we can organize special lunch at different plantation sites & farm houses.
Visas & Travel Insurance : A valid visa is required to visit India. We consider adequate travel insurance to be an essential aspect to booking a holiday
Water : Bottled and boiled water are safe to drink. We do not recommend drinking tap water directly. |
